Still Time to Give the Gift of Life this Christmas!

As the season continues to morph from the beautifully mild days of Fall to the cold snowy days of winter, it is important to remember the gift that God has given us to cherish these incredible times: Life. Without life, the existence of our planet and all that is in it would be meaningless. We as humans are something special because we are capable of appreciating God's creation. And among all of God's creations, we must take note of our own special design, being fashioned in His image

Sadly, not everybody cherish's human life. There are many groups that undermine human life at the most fundamental of levels. The problem only gets worse as we see angry protesters taking to the streets to threaten and intimidate other people. Sometimes these acts even result in violence and death! This is all because those who do such things have forgotten about their Creator and, in turn, the value that the Creator places on each human life.

Fortunately, there are other places that promote the value of human life. Take, for instance, the Cleveland Pregnancy Center. Each and every day they are engaged in a battle to save lives and win souls.

I want to remind everyone that there is still time to contribute to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center, before Christmas, by purchasing a copy of a book written by my wife or myself from www.williamhseng.com. The profits of your purchase will go to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center with the intention of saving the lives of unborn babies.

I would like to take a moment to highlight, my wife, Melissa Seng's new book: Wisdom for the Journey in Parenting: 50 Simple Tips for Christian Moms and Dads. What a wonderful way to celebrate life, by preparing to live it with your own children! Melissa's book gives solid Biblical advice concerning raising children after God's own heart. It is a fun and heartwarming book that I recommend to all people, even if you do not have children of your own.

All profits from the sales of this book will be given to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center, so purchase your very own copy today!

I would also like to remind you of other titles that will contribute to our project: The Wrath of Giganotus Rex, Giganotus Rex: The Battle of Midland, and The World That Then Was. Purchase your copy today at www.williamhseng.com.

Abortion: The Great Divide

Senator Diane Feinstein has now infamously stated that a vote on Judge Kavanaugh's appointment to the Supreme Court would be "too soon." While media sources on both sides are making a big deal of this statement for their own purposes, Rush Limbaugh, alone, played the rest of the audio from her response to a reporter on Capitol Hill. This audio revealed what the whole Kavanaugh investigation was really about. She continued to list issues like presidential authority (Translation: the desire to impeach Donald Trump), and Kavanaugh's stance on assault weapons (Translation: the Democrat party's desire to repeal the 2nd Ammendment). But what was at the top of her list of reasons for the delay on Kavanaugh's vote should not surprise anybody. It had nothing to do with rape allegations.

Diane Feinstein's response: "And there are other issues too. There's reproductive choice for women."

Translation: The Democrat party despises Bret Kavanaugh because he is a pro-life conservative.

Before the media circus concerning Christine Blasey Ford, or Bret Kavanaugh's nomination to the Supreme Court, for that matter, the Democrats have made it a point to put the issue of abortion at the top of their list for vetting potential appointees. Diane Feinstein, in vetting Amy Barret, referred to her pro-life stance as "dogma." Therefore, Barret's pro-life stance would be disqualifying to be appointed as a judge because of her religious convictions concerning the topic.

Notice Feinstein's neglect of other issues that could have come into play because of religious conviction (like same-sex marriage or certain aspects of the immigration debate). She cut right to the heart of the issue, as do other Democrats when questioning potential judicial appointees, "Where do you stand on abortion?" If nothing else, this is what divides Democrats from Republicans. As one that believes that human beings are created in the image of God, I feel very strongly about this topic.

I believe that life in the womb should be defended and preserved. Abortion itself is never medically necessary. In a worst case scenario, a mother could be induced to give birth prematurely to save her life and give the unborn child a chance at survival.

All of that aside, abortion truly is terminating the life of another human being. If you happen to be curious from a secular perspective, concerning this reality, This Link does a good job at laying out the facts concerning why unborn children are considered human and are considered to be alive.

When Diane Feinstein, and others like her, say that abortion is about women's reproductive rights, she and her colleagues are actually misleading their audience. It is not about women's reproductive rights, because reproductive rights are concerning your right to reproduce. Women have the right to reproduce by nature. God has designated women to be the sole re-creators of human life in our world. The issue is really about being allowed to be sexually promiscuous without having to face the consequences. The problem is that Democrats have made abortion cool by dehumanizing the unborn child and replacing the criteria of humanity with personhood (a much more vague and subjective concept).

By diverting the debate from the humanity of the unborn child to personhood, the child is not only dehumanized, but also exploited for a socio-economic agenda. You will notice that big governments love abortion. And big governments extend the deadline for abortion past the stage of being born. Even worse, they conduct abortions without the consent of the parents. To big governments, it is all about the allocation and redistribution of resources and human life is the biggest consumer of resources.

Keep these realities in mind during the vote on Bret Kavanaugh. Also, keep this issue in mind when you go to the ballot box in November.

If you want to fight against the abortion industry, join my wife and myself as we partner with the Cleveland Pregnancy Center for a Christmas Giving Project. Update: Christmas Giving Project

It is only a week into our giving project and already we are starting to see people chipping in. My wife and I are grateful every time we see someone purchase one of  our books and it is so wonderful to be able to give the profits to a good cause. Thank you to everyone who has supported our project this first week.

There is still a lot of time to contribute. Go to the store page on williamhseng.comhttp://www.williamhseng.com/store.html (http://www.williamhseng.com/store.html) and click the link for one of our books. Not only will you be able to enjoy our latest work, you will also be giving the profits to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center. The Cleveland Pregnancy Center is doing their part to save the lives of innocent children. Although they are doing a wonderful job, they continually need resources to take ground against competing organizations that literally seek to extinguish the lives of babies. The greatest blessing your gift will produce is not a thank you, but seeing baby boys and girls being given a chance at life.

The products you purchase will certainly be worth your purchase.

Wisdom for the Journey in Parenting is the first book my wife Melissa Seng has written. It has been amazing reading through her book and seeing what sorts of insights for parenting she has. One of the greatest parts is hearing family and children experts speaking and mentioning points that she wrote about in her book. On many occasions, I have had the blessing to tell Melissa, "You wrote about that!" If you are a parent or a preparing to be one in the future, you definitely want to read my wife's book, Wisdom for the Journey in Parenting: 50 Simple Tips for Christian Moms and Dads.

Giganotus Rex has become my baby. Anyone who likes giant monster movies will love Giganotus Rex: The Battle of Midland. Giganotus Rex (a giant fire breathing dinosaur) comes face-to-face with his first foe, Hon. Hon is a giant monkey that wields a metal rod that he uses to pummel his opponents. This book picks up where The Wrath of Giganotus Rex left off. William Stevens and the Villagers are missing while Murakoshi Honda runs for his life from government agents, monsters, and a civilization that wants to enslave him. His pet monkey, Hon, might be the only thing that can save him from these threats. You will love reading Giganotus Rex: The Battle of Midland!

Thanks again for everyone who is supporting my wife Melissa and myself. Remember, the profit from all purchases will go to the Cleveland Pregnancy Center.

Ambassadors of Christ Jesus

Because Christians have been restored into a relationship with God and have been adopted as His children, we have been entrusted with a sacred duty: We are to be ambassadors of Jesus Christ to the world.

2 Corinthians 5 states, "Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God." (v.20).

Romans 10 states, "How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?" (v.14).

As believers, we often get the belief part right. That is why we are called "believers." Where most believers get it wrong is that they keep their hope nestled inside behind closed doors. Jesus has appointed us as ambassadors of His grace!

We debate all day long about how to take communion, how to be baptized, what version of the Bible we should read, what the church's involvement with social ills should be, but when do we ever get to sharing the Gospel?

How will they call on the One in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in the One of whom they have not heard? How will they hear without one to preach?

Live a life worthy of the call that you received in Christ Jesus. Share the good news of Jesus' death and resurrection with those who will listen. In the grand scope of things, nothing is more important than our call to be ambassadors of Jesus Christ.

Reconciled to God

Every religion across every continent has some sort of plan through which mankind can be reconciled to their Maker. Even secular humanism, that believes we evolved from the earth, promotes the idea that we need to make sacrifices for the sake of preserving Mother Earth. No matter who or what we believe our Maker to be, we all want to be acting appropriately according to our purpose.

The very premise that we must do something to be in line with our Creator's plan indicates that something about our existence is not complete. It would then follow that something is wrong with our existence. Many people decide that it is better to disregard the notion of a supernatural Creator, at this point. However, it is important to note that, whether you believe in God or not, even Darwin noted that nature is cruel. No matter what, cruelty exists, but it can be defeated.

The Bible teaches that the world is broken because people chose to disobey God. This is not the end of the story.

Because God loved His creation, particularly human beings, so much, He sent His Son into the world. Jesus, God's only Son, lived a perfect life. He showed us how God intended us to behave. He battled against the wickedness and the cruelty of the world. He suffered at the hands of the cruel world and was killed. But in His death, He conquered the evil that drives the world's cruelty. He was obedient to God, up until His very last breath and was brought back to life by the power of God.

It is from this point that we realized that Jesus needed to die for us, if we were to have any hope of being at peace with God. Mankind deserved God's wrath for breaking God's laws, but Jesus paid the price that our wickedness deserved.

We would have been God's children, if it were not for our disobedience. Instead, from birth, we are children of the devil. Despite this horrible condition, through Jesus' sacrifice, His death and Resurrection, we have been given the right to be adopted into the family of God, once again. By God's grace, we can be reunited with Him forever.

The World God Created

This is not meant to be controversial; just a simple acknowledgment of reality. The world that God created, in the beginning, was very good.

This means that there was no death, there was no suffering, and that life would fill the whole world. What we call predators, existed, but they were not predators back then. They were herbivores. Diseases did not exist. Wars did not happen. Injustice was not even a word in the vocabulary of the first humans.

This derails the whole notion that God cannot be good if He is all powerful; or that he cannot be all powerful if He is good. God is good, all of the time. God is all powerful, without fail. But what we are told in 2 Peter 3:9 is that, "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

God created a world that was good, but mankind rebelled and brought death, sin, and suffering into God's good creation. Since then, the human condition has been tainted by wickedness. People have been groping in the dark for a solution to our sin-cursed condition.

God has given us a cure for our brokenness: Jesus Christ, His only Son. He took upon the penalty that we deserve for our misdeeds and reconciled us to God. No one has authority to forgive the wickedness of people except for Jesus.

Only through Jesus can we be restored to God, as new creations, and set apart as heirs to God's eternal kingdom. Do you believe this?
